Is named in memory of my father, the founding father of the Orth family. As all our properties are named after family, we thought it appropriate to name this proud building after him.
It completes the chain having named on estate after my mother in Sydney being the Evelyn Grace Estate at Cherrybrook. The Phillip Lodge in Ashfield Sydney also carries our father’s name. In the same way that the “Pioneer Way Motel” in the Blue Mountains carries the name of our early pioneers.
Lara’s Restaurant is named after my only daughter who happens to be Larissa, the first Orth granddaughter of this generation and my best friend.
Larissa was born in the same year that Frank Sinatra recorded his best seller “I Did It My Way” and I’m sure that Larissa thought is was dedicated to her because she has always done it her way and I love her dearly.
KJ’s BAR is dedicated to my three wonderful sons Phillip, Robert and baby Peter, who all carry the middle names of Keith and James.
It has been nice sharing these memories with you and I hope that you all enjoy this building and its facilities as much as I have enjoyed fulfilling a dream. I only hope that the dream comes true and it is successful.
